"Hamlet 2" (2008)
Sure, Steve Coogan's Shakespearean sequel in "Hamlet 2" is played for laughs. But we've seen enough unexpected, unwanted sequels ("Daddy Day Camp" and "Traveling Pants 2," anyone?) to know that no story is ever truly safe from one Hollywood exec turning a half-witted idea and some cash into the follow-up nobody was waiting for.
With that, here's a handful of old and new "classics" that we really hope won't come back for another round--and what those forbidden hypothetical sequels could entail. (Spoiler alert: To speculate on sequels we have to give away the endings to, uh, “Part one.”) --Matt Pais, Metromix
